LWR Lebanon - Project Coordinator - MATERNITY REPLACEMENT

The Community Project Coordinator will oversee and follow-up on the implementation of social cohesion activities that will be implemented by three local partner organizations and ensure the project meets LWR standards of implementation, M&E, reporting and donor requirements. S/he will also provide logistics and administrative support for project and office functions when needed. The Project Coordinator will report to the Deputy Program Manager.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works with partner organizations to plan for the implementation of the social cohesion components of the program.
- Provides technical guidance on the social cohesion components of the program and coordinates with headquarters’ Senior Technical team.
- Ensures project implementation follows LWR and donor policies and stipulations as outlined in the agreement with the donor and agreements with partner organizations.
- Leads field work in coordination with partner organizations and provides narrative reports on the progress of operations.
- Monitors project activities and completes project Activity and Indicator tracking tables.
- Ensures partner narrative and financial reports are completed and submitted to the LWR-Lebanon office on a timely basis.
- Manages the beneficiary spreadsheet and ensures LWR’s Project Management System, Phoenix, is up to date with accurate beneficiary numbers and results tracking.
- Attends the coordination meetings/calls of the respective sectors’ working groups in relation to the Lebanon Crisis Response Plan (LCRP) and the Emergency Response Plan (ERP.)
- Ensures project implementation follows LWR policies and stipulations.
- Under the guidance of the Deputy Program Manager, identifies and develops relationships with program participants, organizations and institutions to help achieve project goals and LWR's strategy.
- Supervises the work on the Community Project Officer and provides guidance and respective training as needed.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- A Bachelor’s degree in economics, gender or development studies, or relevant field.
- Three to five years of experience in project coordination, community & social work, event organization, workforce development or livelihoods.
- At least, three years experience with positive stakeholder engagement, including national and international NGOs, the private sector, and government officials.
- Demonstrated experience in effective team coordination and management
- Proficiency in MS Project, MS Outlook, MS Word and other Microsoft Office programs.
- Fluency in English and Arabic required, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
This position is a 4-month replacement for Maternity, covering the position for 4 months until our original Project Coordinator resumes duty. Start date must be September 1st, 2020.
