Freelance Graphic Designer
Description:
Legal Agenda is seeking to hire a graphic designer/desktop publisher on a consultancy basis, responsible for the design and execution of its digital and print publications, including magazines, guides, reports and books (ranging from 50 to 200 pages).
Responsibilities:
- Produce high quality hard copy print and digital magazines, reports, guides and books
- Conceptualize and create specific graphic design assets to be used in the publications including infographics and fact sheets for print and web.
- Work closely with Legal Agenda's researchers and communication team to discuss the publication's goals, audience.
- Work closely with Legal Agenda's graphic designer to ensure the best execution of the project.
- Accurately follow guidelines provided by Legal Agenda's in-house graphic designer and suggest improvements when necessary.
Experience and skills:
- Bachelor degree in Graphic Design or related field.
- Strong practical background in graphic design and graphic design software, including but not limited to: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
- Advanced expertise in print design, layouting and typography.
- Knowledge in paper and printing systems and ability to coordinate with printing companies when needed.
- Ability to work with different formats.
- Knowledge in creating dynamic, mobile-first versions of publications.
- Artistic ability and attention to details.
- Proven ability to deliver under tight deadlines.
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude.
