Assignment: 

Lebanon Support is looking for a researcher to develop a factsheet on Social Protection on Jordan.The fact sheets aim to map out existing social protection schemes and practices, as well as assess their possible enhancements from a rights based approach perspective. 

Background of the programme

The multilayered crises societies in our region are currently facing, namely the public health crisis with the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as deeply rooted social and economic inequalities, have contributed to highlight stark inequalities, often due to systematic privatisation, austerity measures, clientelistic practices to cite only a few.

This assignment is part of a wider action research programme on social justice Lebanon Support is currently implementing.

Timeframe

The final fact sheet should be submitted in the span of two weeks maximum.

How to apply

Applicants have to submit a clear research proposal including methodology, action plan, and quotation to [email protected] with “Factsheet on social protection/ Jordan” in the subject line.  Research proposals are to be submitted as word documents. Applications should also include an up-to-date CV and a cover letter in PDF format clearly stating their expertise and knowledge in social protection and social security schemes. 

The selected candidates will work in close collaboration with the Lebanon Support team, and are expected to incorporate their feedback in all their submissions. Local and women researchers are particularly encouraged to apply.
