LOST announces a tender for Contracting a consultant agency for Coops training
1. BACKGROUND LOST in partnership with Welthungerhilfe (WHH) is implementing a three-year program, funded by the German Ministry for Development and Economic Cooperation (BMZ). The purpose of the Program is to promote synergies between population groups affected by the Syrian crisis in order to increase the profitability of vegetable and fruit value chains, create jobs and reduce social tensions in Baalbek-Hermel Governorate, Lebanon. Welthungerhilfe is the Lead Organization for this project being implemented with LOST in Baalbek-Hermel. Welthungerhilfe’s role is to make sure that all outcomes, outputs and indicators of the project are reached, and that activities are implemented according to the contract. Part of the project is to support coops in the area of intervention. LOST is currently seeking to hire a consultant agency to build up the capacity of coops and make the needed coaching. What is the overall aim of this initiative? ‐ Build up the capacity of coops to be more resilient and sustainable 2. THE INTERVENTION MAIN OBJECTIVE: ‐ Provide business development services for each coop (training as well as mentoring sessions) ‐ Develop a business plan and a feasibility study for each coop so it can apply for a grant

5. QUALIFICATIONS The selected consultant agency should have at least the following qualifications: 1. Robust organization profile and experience in fields directly related to this assignment. 2. Technical capacity: the organization has worked on at least three major projects in fields related to the contract in the past three years, and in the following fields: Capacity building on business model canvas, branding, HR, GMP, GHP. Experience with Coops business training Mentorship and coaching experience. 3. Knowledge and experiences in working with agriculture and food processing cooperatives in rural areas. 6. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS TO SUBMIT: LOST request that the submitted technical and financial offers submitted by qualified applicants for the above project be in sealed, separated and closed envelopes. The agency is requested to submit the following documents: 1- Vendor Registration Annex Form B; 2- Financial Offer Annex C; 3- Portfolio; 4- Organization Chart/ Hierarchy; 5- Certificate of Registration from Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture; 6- Financial number and VAT number from the Ministry of Finance; 7- CV of consultants Note: all the requested documents must be submited in a separated sealed envelope, except for the financial offer annex c ( must be submitted in a separated envelop). 7. CLOSING DATE OF THE SUBMISSION A completed vendor registration form [Annex C] and financial offer [Annex B] with requested supporting documents must be submitted to LOST by no later than 28 December 2020 at 2:00 p.m. Bid opening will be held in 29 December 2020 at 11:00 am.
