Grant Seeking - The Funding Proposal Techniques

 Introduction
The Process of Proposal Writing is grounded in the conviction that a partnership should be developed between the nonprofit and the funding agency or the donor. In fact, the fund has no value until it is attached to solid programs in the nonprofit sector.This process is a fundraising approach that can be adapted to fit the needs of any nonprofit. It requires some techniques, tools and abilities that enable the organizations obtain the funds needed. Thus, it is an art as well as a science.
ObjectiveThis training will greatly improve participants’ chances of writing better funding proposals. It will help them to learn about RFP analysis and create the project framework in order to convince the donor and not only to describe the situation.

Trainer's Biography:
 
Rouba Mansour FaresMrs. Fares holds a teaching diploma in Social Service from Saint Joseph University and pursued her Postgraduate Studies (DESS) in Community health at the Lebanese University where she worked as a lecturer for several years. She has participated in a variety of social activities on different levels like children care, youth and drug addiction, and has an advanced experience in the service of people afflicted with AIDS. She took part as well  in  a series of local and regional professional training seminars with the NAP - National AIDS Control Program, Lebanon - on topics related to the voluntarily counseling and testing I & II, and with the UNAIDS on Management of NGOs, Monitoring and Evaluation System as well as Mobilization of Resources. She is active on many levels. She worked with different kinds of institutions such as clubs, schools, universities, jails, youth movement and associations. She participated in a variety of projects and trainings with governmental institutions and international organizations (Ministry of Social Affairs, Ministry of Youth and Sports in collaboration with CEMEA International, etc…). In 2010, she has been selected as the Regional Coordinator for the Arab Network Against Aids (RANAA) in the MENA region.Mrs. Fares is the ‘Social Department and Training Program Coordinator’ at LDN. She is married to Pascal Fares and they have two kids, Lea and Fares.
