Re-ad : Invitation to bid (ITB) No: 0001042021 Directional Signs & Informative Panels for the hiking trail of Nahr el Joz

The Lebanese Developers (LD) is a nonsectarian, Non-Governmental Organization providing services for Local communities and refugees.

LD is implementing a developmental project in the region of Nahr El Joz between Batroun and Koura districts.

El Joz River, that measures 38 km long from its source in the Tannourine hills to its estuary in the village of Kobba next to the Mseilha Fortress, is considered as a tourist landmark. It is the vital artery of the towns and villages on both sides of the Batroun and Koura districts, providing economic and agricultural returns. The Ministry of Environment has confirmed its importance and classified it as one of the natural sites under its protection.

Indigenous people used to live from the wealth of Wadi al-Joz, as well as from the mills scattered on both sides of the river. Most of these mills need restoration to become tourist centers.

The Roman bridges on the river, which connects you to the mills, witness a golden age in the lives of our fathers and forefathers.

The river, which separates the Batroun and Koura districts, has been listed as a heritage since 1998.

The region was in particular a destination for the people of the districts of Koura, Jubail and Batroun. It is necessary to work on the protection of the heritage of the valley, through working on the so-called Mseilha trail - Mills trail, to draw it, clean it and even maintain it.

LD is undertaking a CFW project for the preservation of Nahr el Joz trail and has a requirement for equipping the trail of Nahr el Joz with Directional Signs & Informative Panels.
