Key Responsibilities:

  1. Communication Strategy:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy to promote LECORVAW’s programs and campaigns.
    • Evaluate and adapt communication approaches to maximize outreach and impact.
  2. Content Creation:
    • Prepare newsletters, reports, and other communication materials that reflect LECORVAW’s mission.
    • Create high-quality multimedia content, including graphics, videos, and infographics.
    • Develop storytelling campaigns to highlight beneficiaries’ experiences and organizational achievements.
  3. Media Relations:
    • Establish and maintain relationships with journalists, media outlets, and influencers to increase visibility.
    • Coordinate press conferences, interviews, and media coverage of LECORVAW events and initiatives.
  4. Digital and Social Media Management:
    • Manage LECORVAW’s social media platforms, ensuring regular, engaging, and relevant content.
    • Monitor digital analytics to assess campaign performance and audience engagement.
  5. Advocacy Support:
    • Collaborate with program teams to design advocacy campaigns that raise awareness about gender-based violence and women’s rights.
    • Develop communication materials for workshops, trainings, and public events.
  6. Event Support:
    • Provide communication and media support for public events, workshops, and awareness campaigns.
    • Document and archive key moments through photos, videos, and media clippings.
  7. Other Duties:
    • Stay informed about emerging trends in communication and advocacy.
    • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Media, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in communication, media, or advocacy roles, preferably with NGOs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English (French is a plus).
  • Proficiency in social media management, content creation, and digital analytics tools.
  • Experience with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshope, Adobe Premiere, Adobe illustrations ) and video editing is an asset.
  • Knowledge of gender-based violence issues and advocacy approaches is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
