Call For Expert: Gender-Based Violence (GBV) -Women
Leading Hands Organization is seeking a qualified Gender-Based Violence (GBV) trainer to conduct awareness sessions for women and girls in Tripoli, North Lebanon. The trainer will educate participants on GBV, harassment, prevention strategies, reporting mechanisms, and awareness. The project aims to enhance the dignity, safety, and knowledge of women affected by the recent crisis.
The trainer will be responsible for:
-Capacity-building: Raising women beneficiaries' awareness of and responses to forms of gender-based violence.
-Reporting and documentation: reporting and documentation on gender-based violence activities, results and lessons learned.
-Data Collection and Analysis the pre-post test related to the training
-Providing practical knowledge on identifying, handling, and preventing GBV and harassment.
-Guiding participants on reporting incidents through proper channels.
-Coordinating with Leading Hands for a smooth implementation of the project.
Skills:
-Knowledge of gender-based violence issues: a deep understanding of gender-based violence and its causes and impact on individuals and communities.
-Analytical skills: ability to analyse data and develop evidence-based interventions.
-Communication skills: Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate information and advocate for gender-based violence issues.
-Compassion and sensitivity: the ability to provide compassionate support to survivors and deal with sensitive situations carefully.
-Cultural competence: awareness and respect for cultural differences and the ability to operate effectively in diverse environments.
-Problem-solving skills: ability to identify and address challenges in efforts to prevent and respond to gender-based violence.
-Technical efficiency: familiarity with tools, methodologies and software related to gender-based violence.
The sessions will take place in Tripoli. The trainer must have relevant expertise in GBV prevention and response, along with excellent communication skills.
How to apply
Note: We are currently accepting trainer exclusively from women who have at least two years of experience and reside in Tripoli.The trainer's fees will be discussed after the interview.
