We are looking for a Digital Platform Officer to attract and interact with the social media community and networks users.  KAFA is working to release an app by the end of the year to support women who are victims of domestic violence by offering tips, ways of seeking help, and an emergency hotline. The app will also be linked to services on KAFA's website, social media accounts, and case management. We are seeking for someone to coordinate
the launch of the app as well as the day-to-day operation of digital products and platforms with the different stakeholders that include the call center, the technical consultants, and KAFA's management.

  • Responsibilities and duties:


  • Develop and execute our social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification in coordination
  • Manage and oversee social media content
  • Set up and optimize KAFA’s pages within each platform(Website, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Youtube)
  • Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML)
  • Follow up on KAFA’s media campaigns
  • Measure the success of every social media campaign
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies
  • Work with copywriters  to ensure informative and attractive content
  • Communicate with  influencers via social media to create a strong network
  • Help in designing posts and visuals on social media platforms
  • Updating website content;
  • Manage the content of the app and affiliated services and ensure it is updated and accurate
  • Coordinate with the technical team on any reported bugs or issues;
  • Help manage posts on the community group and manage user accounts;
  • Work with stakeholders on further R&D on app development, based on usage and feedback from beneficiaries;
  • Participate in the wire-framing and user scenario mapping for new releases;
  • Administre third-party accounts and services such as mobile stores and analytics tools;
  • Participate in security audits and privacy trainings for beneficiaries;

• College degree in a relevant area, such as product design, ICT (information and communications technology), communications, organizational studies, or media studies; • Strong command of both English and Arabic – spoken and written; • Proven working experience in social media marketing or in Digital Media • Demonstrated interest and/or experience in GBV (gender-based violence), advocacy, or human rights related initiatives. • Familiarity with product design concepts such as human-centered design and scenario mapping; • Strong working skills on range of applications and web services that include spreadsheets, mapping tools, and content management systems (CMS) such as Drupal or Wordpress. • Ability to analyze traffic and trends through tools such Google and Facebook analytics, as well as the ability to monitor KAFA's audiences and impact on its various digital platforms; • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team environment, meat deadlines, and perform under stressful conditions.
