Agronomist
Job Description:
1-Preparing and managing plans for crop improvement and enhanced production
2-Designing and coordinating land development projects for agricultural land and rooftops
3-Laboratory testing of plant and agri-food products
4-Agricultural, agri-food, livestock, forestry and environmental quality certification
5-Safeguarding environmental sustainability, safety and quality
6-Carrying out land-use planning in accordance with applicable legislation
7-Landscape design
8-Assesses crop production of the farm
9-Evaluates and improves seed quality
10-Carries out laboratory tests of soil, seed, and crop samples
11-Performs quality control for seed caliber and soil standards
12-Keeps records of research, testing, and results
13-Prepares analysis and data presentation
14-Studying plants and soil in order to develop better planting, cultivation, and harvesting techniques, improve crop yield, and solve problems facing the agriculture industry.
15-Researching, developing, and promoting farming practices or products that diminish the effects of changes in soil, climate, and weather or prevent damage from pests.
16-Visiting fields to collect seed, plant, and soil samples and testing samples for nutritional deficiencies, diseases, or other changes.
17-Assisting with the plant selection process and the development of planting and irrigation schedules, budgets, and timelines.
18-Keeping detailed records regarding fields, beneficiaries, crops, and samples.
19-Generating reports and presenting findings to management, Donors, or other interested parties.
20-Promoting products and techniques through educational presentations.
