Job Summary:
Islamic Relief is seeking a proactive and experienced Field Supervisor to oversee field activities, ensuring the effective delivery of social work and psycho-social support (PSS) services. The Field Supervisor will manage and support a team of Social Workers and PSS Facilitators, coordinate between Islamic Relief and partner organizations, and ensure program objectives are met. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of vulnerable communities.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide guidance, support, and supervision to Social Workers and PSS Facilitators, ensuring quality service delivery and adherence to organizational standards.
Oversee daily field operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and monitoring of PSS and social work activities to ensure they align with program goals.
Act as the primary liaison between Islamic Relief and partner organizations, coordinating activities, sharing information, and ensuring alignment with shared objectives.
Facilitate regular case review meetings with Social Workers and PSS Facilitators, providing input on complex cases and ensuring appropriate follow-up and documentation.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of field activities, including compiling reports on program progress, challenges, and success stories.
Address operational challenges, respond to incidents in the field, and escalate issues as needed to the program manager or relevant stakeholders.
Ensure all activities comply with organizational policies, child safeguarding protocols, and ethical guidelines, promoting a culture of accountability and transparency.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Humanitarian Studies, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in field supervision, case management, or program coordination, particularly in humanitarian or community-based settings.
Skills:
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective team supervision and partner coordination.
Knowledge of case management, psycho-social support, and trauma-informed care practices.
Proficiency in project planning, monitoring, and evaluation.
Personal Attributes:
High level of integrity, empathy, and cultural sensitivity.
Ability to work under pressure in challenging environments and make sound decisions.
Strong commitment to upholding ethical standards, confidentiality, and child protection.
