The IYCF Hotline Monitor will be monitoring the IYCF referrals and will manage the IYCF hotline, receive phone calls from beneficiaries and refer them to the relevant actors in order to improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions

  • Manage the IYCF national hotline, receive calls from beneficiaries and link them to the relevant service providers (lactation specialist, safe artificial feeding support…) through a standardized referral mechanism.
  • Provide needed assistance to the targeted beneficiaries and make necessary and timely referrals internally and/or externally to specialized agencies, respecting confidentiality.
  • Maintain a proper follow up on the cases referred whether it is referred internally to lactation specialists or externally to other organizations to ensure their access to the right services.
  • Collect the needed information and maintain an updated referral database/tracking sheet and ensure all steps taken are documented.
  • Coordinate referrals with the nutrition sector when needed (cash assistance, food assistance…)
  • Report and raise major challenges or concerns related to the referrals to the IYCF coordinator and the Senior Health Officer
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA): 

  • Good organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and initiative taker. 
  • Good report writing skills.
  • Ability to communicate with vulnerable populations.
  • Dynamic personality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English.

Experience:  

  • 2-3 years of work experience
  • Previous experience in working with vulnerable populations is an advantage
