GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Manager will manage the execution of project plans and relationships with various project stakeholders, ensuring alignment with programme and project goals and objectives, organizational vision and mission, and compliance with donor requirements, particularly those of USG funders. The role involves working closely with marginalized groups in the MENA region.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Project Management:
- Develop and maintain project work plans, schedules, and budgets
- Plan, execute, and monitor project activities to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements and organizational policies and procedures.
- Monitor expenditures and budgets to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of resources use.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Foster positive and effective relationships with team members, project partners, beneficiaries and other stakeholders.
- Maintain positive relationship with IWPR colleagues and consultants.
- Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Liase with the MEL Manager and other team members to ensure MEL requirements are met and MEL activities are implemented.
- Ensure that data collection is ethical, accurate and timely.
- Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the Program Director.
- Assist in preparing internal and donor reports as required.
- Risk Management:
- Monitor the risk environment and actively identify, report and mitigate risks.
- Manage and maintain project risk mitigation plans and logs.
- Ensure adherence to safety and security protocols and IWPR policies and procedures.
- Reporting
- Work with the MEL Manager to collect and store project data and information.
- Produce periodic progress and performance project report.
QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS:
To be considered candidates are required to possess the following qualifications:

- 5 years of project management experience, preferably with USG-funded projects.
- Proven experience working with marginalized groups in the MENA region.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office Software.
- Excellent command of Arabic and English.

- Work Environment:
- This position may require occasional travel.
- Flexibility to work outside regular business hours as needed.
