The Role:

 

We are seeking a Program Associate to provide monitoring and evaluation (M&E) and program support, together with assisting with program operation and improvement and ensuring project efficiency and compliance.

 

You will:

 

 1. Provide M&E support:

 

Gather information and prepare reports for program M&E procedures.

Gather information and prepare reports for program M&E procedures.

Monitor program deliverables and outputs to ensure compliance with grant obligations.

Ensure that verification of sub-recipients and program are collected and filed on a monthly basis.

Conduct field visits to ensure proper implementation of programs per M&E plan.

Build capacity of beneficiaries and program team on M&E.

 

2. Provide program support:

 

Ensure compliance with IWPR and USG policies.

Support the issuance of Expressions of Interest and help grantees finalize scopes of work and budgets.

Edit and contribute to programmatic reporting.

Support the Technical Grants Review Committee to ensure selected grants meet selection.

Support organizing training of grantee organizations to ensure compliance with USG rules, regulations, and reporting requirements.

Monitor grantee financial and compliance reporting, ensuring on-time invoicing.

Support the pre-award capacity assessments.

Undertake all Department of State vetting and the due diligence process.

Focal point for program data management. Maintain efficient tracking and filing system for the grants.

 

3. Undertake other duties and projects as may be assigned from time to time.

 

The successful candidate will have:

 

A University degree in a related field from an accredited institution.

Minimum one year of experience working in a field-based international development NGO including project implementation and closeout.

Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working knowledge of monitoring and evaluation, program support, and Finance.

Ability to write effective and timely program reports.

Proficiency in standard word and excel processing software.

Great attention to detail; to show initiative and creativity in solving challenges.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work with a range of people from different backgrounds and cultures in an open-minded, non-dogmatic manner.

Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English.

Ability to work in Lebanon without a visa and to travel in the region.

Ability to work on your own and as part of a team.

Willingness to work out of office hours when necessary.
