Description: 

 

  • Enhance the organization’s networking efforts by identifying, reaching out to and building relationships with different stakeholders including civil society, governments, the UN system, donors and the media in the MENA region and at global level

 

  • Coordinate the daily operations of the Cross Regional Center for Refugees and Migrants and ensure the timely delivery of projects’ outputs and outcomes

 

  • Reach out to, and identify potential partner organizations in order to recruit potential new members

 

  • Ensure timely communication and information sharing with and between network members and with civil society in the region at large

 

  • Facilitate access to network members to relevant global and regional processes

 

  • Represent the organization and the network at relevant key events and meetings as needed

 

  • Act as the organization and  network’s focal point to global campaigns and global networks

 

  • Design and ensure the timely execution of capacity building programs, workshops and events at regional and national level, with particular focus on the MENA region

 

  • Design and ensure the timely execution of campaigns and advocacy work at regional and global levels

 

  • Oversee the work of staff in the research and advocacy department, including the work of the communication officer, research officer and interns by setting agreed upon targets and outputs

 

  • Oversee research work by identifying areas of interest and carrying out key research responsibilities

 

  • Design a departmental fundraising strategy and actively fundraise for global and regional advocacy activities
