Mission: Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the project Officer will accompany project’s staff, partners and relevant actors and stakeholders in the implementation of the project and contributes to the project’s MEAL. He is responsible for leading, planning, and conducting inclusive initiatives within the community.
Reports to: Inclusive Education - Project Manager

The Project Manager and the project team; The support services staff

The project partners; Local and International NGO; Local service providers
Others stakeholders in the related field in the project area of implementation
Responsibilities
Responsibility 1: Contribute to the development of tools for the project implementation and to the capacity building of the project team and partners.
Aim: Ensure the poject team and partners understand and are able to apply the chosen modalities of intervention in compliance with HI technical framework.
Tasks:
- Participate in the selection and contextualization of the modalities of intervention in compliance with HI technical framework.
- Contribute to the development and/or adaptation of methodologies and to the development of technical tools
- Organize and/or participate to the testing of the tool whenever appropriate and adjust them according to the results of the test
- Provide ad-hoc support to the team during tools use including field coaching
- Train project partners and relevant actors and stakeholders on the methodologies and tools.
- Produce training and coaching reports and coordinate feedback with the service providers for strengthening continuous staff development
Responsibility 2: Support the implementation of project activities.
Aim: Ensure that the project intervention contributes to positive outcomes for the beneficiaries
Tasks: In collaboration with the team and under the project manager’s supervision, the project officer identifies stakeholders to engage with
Activities:
- The project officer / animator will map out, identify and engage with community stakeholders to co-design the inclusive playgrounds, implement and monitor ground work.
- The project officer will be responsible to plan and organize Social and Behaviour Change (SBCC) activities in the inclusive playgrounds, in close coordination with the stakeholders and the donor’s focal points.
Develop communication material and organize the events:
- The project officer will develop communication and inclusive material in close coordination with the donor’s SBCC officer, related to different events such as: creating visibility items, creating leaflets, organizing social activities (municipality, women in the communities…
Data collection and its monitoring:
- Report on activities conducted and, reflect on lesson learning.
- Ensure data collected is accurate, complete and consistent;
- Collect, analyze and disaggregate data by disability, gender, and age
- Work in harmonic coordination with all teams members
- Timely inform your line manager of your weekly needs and produce the related documentation
- Range all the open files in order and respect confidentiality
- Participate in the different activities that are common to all team members
- Ensure internal standards and guidelines are respected
- Fill daily with precision the internal reporting tools (weekly report, donation certificate) and any other reports to be made upon line manager request
- Complete an evolution note after each intervention done

Education & Experience:
- University degree in Social work or related degree
- At least 3 years of professional experience in the related field with preference with NGO.
- Previous experience in community engagement and social behaviour change activities.
- Understanding of a comprehensive approach on disability and vulnerability and accessibility.
- Strong communication and coordination skills to work with a diverse network of actors, including the public authorities, in a diplomatic manner.
- Good report writing skills.
- Demonstrated effective communication, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to relate to the target group (be approachable, shows empathy).
- Ability to propose workable solutions and identify their implications (positive and negative) adapted to beneficiaries’ needs
PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS:
- English and Arabic mandatory (oral and written), French would be an asset.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs, especially Excel, Word and Power Point
- Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment and in a multidisciplinary teamwork.
- Ability to work under high pressure with a great level of personal organization.

Basic salary range for the position : The project officer- Inclusive Playground Component is going to be paid according to the experience and to HI salary Grid.
Basic Salary range between 1400 USD-2000 USD
