Call for Proposals – Freelance Designers

The Goethe-Institut is the Federal Republic of Germany’s worldwide cultural institute. We promote the knowledge of the German language abroad and cultivate international cultural cooperation. The Goethe-Institut Lebanon is implementing since 2019 the project FANTASMEEM which adopts a holistic approach towards supporting the design industry in Lebanon. This involves capacity building, fostering cultural / social / environmental entrepreneurship, and encouraging collaborations and knowledge sharing.  

The Project Team FANTASMEEM is looking for three Designers starting from mid-May 2021 (or later) until December 31, 2021 to work as freelancers in close coordination with the FANTASMEEM team in order to create visuals and templates for informative and content-oriented series of posts on FANTASMEEM's social media and adapt them when required.

Services to be provided by the Designers:

Based on content that will be provided by the FANTASMEEM Team, each selected designer will be responsible for one of the following series of social media posts that FANTASMEEM is planning:

• • Portraits of Designers
  • Design and Creative Places
  • Tips for Designers
• Building upon FANTASMEEM's values and identity, create a consistent and recognizable range of visuals and templates for one of the above-mentioned series of social media posts
• When required, adapt and adjust the visuals developed to the content provided by FANTASMEEM for social media posting
• When required, decline the visuals developed for various purposes while keeping a recognizable and visually consistent identity

The requirements:

• Previous experience in developing digital visuals and/or illustrations
• Professional and on-time delivery of services
• Good knowledge of social media communication

Applications should include:

• A concept proposal for each of the series you want to apply for
• A portfolio of your previous work and projects
• An estimate of the time required to develop the series, as well as to adjust the visuals to a given content when required, mentioning your hourly rate
