Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Train players in wheelchair basketball skills, including scrolling, shooting, tactical movements, and technical use of wheelchairs. 
  • Develop training plans tailored to the levels, abilities, and classifications of all players. 
  • Enhance players' physical fitness through specialized and diverse sports programs. 
  • Build positive relationships with players and foster a spirit of teamwork. 
  • Monitor individual and group performance, providing constructive feedback to improve skills and tactics. 
  • Organize and manage training sessions twice a week, allocating time for each activity appropriately. 
  • Prepare the team for participation in friendly tournaments and matches. 
  • Oversee logistical matters to ensure players' participation in all training sessions and tournaments. 
  • Provide psychological support to motivate players to achieve their athletic goals. 
  • Evaluate players' performance periodically and develop plans for skill enhancement. 
  • Offer specialized training for new players and integrate them into the team. 
  • Prepare periodic reports on team development and progress. 
  • Identify and follow up on the procurement of necessary sports equipment and wheelchairs. 
  • Coordinate with the maintenance officer to ensure players' wheelchairs are in good condition. 
  • Ensure players comply with the rules and classifications of the game. 
  • Maintain attendance records for players during training sessions and matches. 
  • Track and document players' classifications based on their disabilities using a workbook approved by the Lebanese Paralympic Committee. 
  • Participate in workshops and activities to raise awareness about the importance of wheelchair basketball.

 

Requirements for the position:

  • Computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, basic software.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills. 
  • Flexibility and adaptability to address different challenges.
  • Advanced knowledge of the laws and classifications of basketball on wheelchairs.
