Scope of work
The PSU coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the smooth implementation, coordination, and monitoring of PSUs at the Ministry level, with a focus on the following areas:
- Data Management:
- Data analysis of PSU achievements: Assist in the analysis and interpretation of data collected from the PSUs to evaluate performance by tracking key indicators as well as measure the impact of services provided to ensure continuous quality enhancement.
- Data communication with MoPH: Act as the liaison between UNICEF and the MoPH IT teams and coordinators, including troubleshooting data issues and facilitating the integration of data where needed.
- Mapping data collection challenges: Work closely with front-line healthcare workers to identify any challenges they face in collecting data, such as gaps in the primary healthcare digital infrastructure, training needs, or operational inefficiencies. Propose solutions to address these challenges and ensure the smooth flow of accurate and timely data from the field.
- Coordination:
- Coordination with PHCC directors and frontliners: Facilitate communication between the PSU teams, PHCC directors, and front-line workers to ensure that challenges encountered in the field are addressed promptly. This includes gathering feedback from staff on the ground, identifying their needs for additional resources or capacity building, and conveying these to the relevant parties.
- Liaising with PHCC coordinators and directors: Support effective coordination between PHCC coordinators and directors, ensuring smooth operations of the PSUs. This involves scheduling regular check-ins, helping to streamline communication channels, and assisting in the implementation of necessary training or support initiatives.
- Monitoring & Field Support:
- Field monitoring and evaluation: Conduct regular field missions to shelters and PHCCs to monitor the implementation of PSU services. Evaluate the quality of care, adherence to protocols, and overall impact of the services delivered. Provide feedback and recommendations for improvement based on observations.
- Logistics: Assist with the planning and coordination of field schedules as well as ensure resources are efficiently allocated. Coordinate and manage field visits by UNICEF staff and other stakeholders when required.
- Qualitative data collection: Collect human interest stories from the field to capture the real- life impact of the PSU services on displaced communities. Gather qualitative data through interviews and direct observation, to complement the quantitative data in reporting and advocacy efforts.
