The Program Manager will be responsible for:
- Developing programmes in line with Dorcas policies, Dorcas Annual Plan and with an eye on funding possibilities;
- Managing and monitoring high quality implementation of humanitarian and early recovery projects;
- Providing leadership through managing, capacitating and coaching of the local staff and partner organizations in project implementation;
- Designing budgets and monitoring expenses of the projects implemented by Dorcas and its local partners;
- Supporting logistic, financial and administrative project affairs;
- Developing new projects and proposals for institutional donors;
- Timely submission of internal reports and reports to institutional donors according to their requirements;
- Providing technical advice and support to field staff and partner organisations;
- Contributing to strategy and policy developments;
- Program staff recruitment;
- Representing Dorcas at relevant cluster meetings;
- Networking with relevant donors, government institutions and other stakeholders;
Job Requirements:
- MA/Msc degree preferably related to Health or Livelihoods. Candidates with a BSc degree that have extensive relevant experience are also invited to apply;
- At least 5 years relevant field experience and at least 3 years program management experience;
- Experience working in Syria or in fragile/conflict-prone contexts is a pre;
- Experience with the UN coordination system;
- Expert in humanitarian and early recovery programming;
- Settled character with ability to cope with stressful, delicate and possibly unstable situations;
- Proactive attitude, flexible personality, strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Experience in working with partner organisations;
- Experience with raising funds and managing projects funded by Institutional Donors;
- Experience in writing proposals, capable to pursuit, set goals and to achieve them;
- Fluent command of English and Arabic;
- Adherence to the mission and vision of Dorcas.
