About Developmental Action without Borders, Naba'a:

Developmental Action without Borders - Naba’a, is a Lebanese NGO operational since 2001. Registered under the Ministry of Interior (no. 104/AD), Naba’a is dedicated to serving all marginalized communities in Lebanon, especially children, without distinction of nationality, color, race, or religion. This includes communities within Lebanese camps and gatherings, as well as local Lebanese communities.

All prospective candidates must undergo thorough reference and background checks which will mainly verify employment history, professional performance, and adherence to the aforementioned policies. I) Responsibilties of RS teacher for Grades 7, 8 and 9:

1. Lesson Planning:

  • Complete daily preparation and documentation such as lesson plans and attendance sheets 

2. Assess Students’ Needs:

  • Conduct individualized assessments to identify students’ learning challenges and areas of improvement.
  • Collaborate with caregivers to gather insights into students’ academic progress and needs

3. Develop Customized Remedial Plans:

  • Design remedial plan for students, considering their specific learning requirements, considering different learning styles.
  • Create engaging and age-appropriate learning materials to support remedial activities

4. Provide Learning Sessions

  • Conduct remedial sessions for school students, focusing on improving their reading, writing, listening and mathematics skills in Arabic, English, and Mathemtics and assist them in doing their Homework and assignments. 
  • Use various teaching strategies and resources to address learning difficulties effectively.

5. Monitoring and Evaluating Progress:

  • Continuously track and evaluate students’ progress adjusting remedial plans as needed to ensure measurable improvement.
  • Maintain detailed records of each student’s performance and development.

6. Foster a supportive Learning Environment:

  • Build a positive and encouraging relationship with students to boost their self-esteem and motivation
  • Create a safe and inclusive classroom atmosphere where students feel comfortable asking questions and seeking help
  • Insert active learning techniques in the lesson plan and classroom activities

7. Coordination and Report Writing:

  • Communicate regularly with the Education Officer to share progress updates and discuss areas for improvement.
  • Update the Education Officer with the daily implementation and challenges if any.
  • Submit a weekly and monthly reports to the project coordinator

8. Safety and Protection:

  • Present complete commitment to Nabaa’s PSEA, safeguarding and anti-harassment policies as well as code of conduct
  • Guarantee children’s safety and security on all levels

II) Minimum Qualifications: 

1. Academic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a Teaching Diploma certification. 

2. Professional Qualifications:

  • 2 - 3 years of experience in teaching children under Remedial Support programs.

  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong Leadership skills
  • Creative thinking and innovative mindset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed academically.
  • Professional problem-solving and team work skills

4. Technical Skills (as needed for performing selected tasks)

  • Strong understanding of the educational challenges faced by students.
  • Computer literacy in outlook, MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Internet
  • Professional lesson planning and report writing skills
  • Understanding of child rights and child protection
