YOUR TASKS

  • Supports the design and implementation of Lebanon’s communications, visibility, and media strategy in line with DRI’s global and country-specific strategies;
  • Ensures the mainstreaming of DRI Lebanon’s visual identity in line with DRI global’s branding guidelines;
  • Executes and supports the development of creative and engaging visual materials, including infographics, 2D/3D animations, and various visualisations (graphs, icons, charts, etc.) promoting DRI’s activity in Lebanon;
  • Supports the Project & Digital Media Officer in managing DRI’s social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube);
  • Supports media coverage of DRI events in accordance with the event calendar prepared by the Programme Unit;
  • Supports the development of media relations to highlight DRI’s activities on television, radio, and the press (developing media messages, writing press materials and kits, drafting and editing comment pieces in English and Arabic, developing and maintaining contacts with Lebanon-based and regional media outlets);
  • Supports and executes content creation for social media use (stories, press releases, articles, pictures/stills, testimonials, videos, technical captions) in accordance with DRI Lebanon’s social media strategy and content calendar;
  • Where needed, develops educational and awareness-raising videos (vox pops, short documentary films, video reports) pertaining to DRI’s activities and engagement in Lebanon;
  • Compiles and consolidates social media analytics and metrics across all projects, and contributes to periodic assessment reports outlining key takeaways and actionable recommendations;
  • Contributes to copywriting and proofreading of print and online outputs;
  • Performs other relevant duties, as required.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Required:

  • University degree in visual communication, graphic design and/or animation, or a related field;
  • At least 4 years of experience in visual communication, with advanced proficiency in visual design, particularly using Adobe Creative Suite, such as Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, and InDesign;
  • Experience in website and social media platforms management;
  • High creativity and ability to create visual elements that communicate ideas, stories, and policy messages;
  • Familiarity with issues pertaining to human rights, rule of law, good governance, electoral, and democratisation processes;
  • Copywriting and editing skills, ability to write engaging media content for a variety of audiences;
  • Outstanding attention to detail, sense of accuracy, thoroughness, and consistency;
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint) and Google Workspace;
  • Strong emotional intelligence competencies, with outstanding communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to manage conflict;
  • Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English

Preferred:

  • Experience in photography and video pre- and post-production (shooting and editing) is a strong asset, particularly video editing using Adobe Premiere Pro.
