Project Manager
Location: Lebanon (with field visits to Choueifat, Muhammara, Saida, and Qab Elias)
Duration: Full-time starting March 1
Reports to: Executive Director
Position Summary
The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall coordination, implementation, and monitoring of the project’s activities. The selected candidate will work closely with project partners, stakeholders, and beneficiaries to ensure the smooth execution of project deliverables. The role requires strong project management skills, experience in working with youth, children, and municipalities, and a commitment to social cohesion and peacebuilding efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Project Implementation and Coordination:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of project activities across the four target cities.
- Ensure timely implementation of all project components, including youth capacity building, community initiatives, sports-based activities, and media advocacy campaigns.
- Coordinate closely with local municipalities, CSOs, and other stakeholders to ensure their active engagement and buy-in.
- Provide guidance and support to field staff and trainers.
- Organize inception meetings, workshops, and events in coordination with project partners.
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting:
- Track project progress, ensuring alignment with objectives, timelines, and budgets.
- Collect and analyze data to assess the impact of project interventions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and final reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies to address potential challenges.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
- Serve as the main focal point for communication between Dawaer Foundation, Masar Association, and relevant stakeholders.
- Facilitate dialogue between youth participants, municipalities, and community members.
- Support the development of advocacy materials and media content to promote the project’s objectives.
- Represent the project in meetings, conferences, and networking events.
Financial and Administrative Support:
- Ensure proper budgeting and financial management of project activities.
- Coordinate procurement processes for project-related goods and services.
- Maintain accurate records of project expenditures in collaboration with the finance team.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in social sciences, Development Studies, Project Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project coordination, preferably in social cohesion, youth engagement, child protection and peacebuilding projects.
- Strong understanding of Lebanon’s socio-political context and experience working with municipalities and community-based organizations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Proven experience in monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
