CIN is seeking dedicated Volunteers for “Masarouna” project focused on supporting internally displaced persons & vulnerable people in North Lebanon. The role involves conducting needs assessments, data entry, and assisting with distributions as part of our efforts. The selected volunteers will work closely with Project Coordinator, both in the field and at the office, to ensure smooth project implementation. Interactions with local community members and institutions should always be respectful of local customs and aim to effectively achieve the project’s goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outreach activities targeting students, youth, and women in marginalized communities, including refugees and displaced persons.
  • Conduct interviews with targeted people for data collection.
  • Accurately input data into the data management system.
  • Ensure the attendance of the beneficiaries to the awareness sessions and other project’ activities.
  • Collaborate with local organizations and volunteers to ensure a coordinated response.
  • Provide feedback and detailed reports on interventions and participant engagement.
  • Participate in training and capacity-building workshops when required.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all interactions.

Job Requirements:

  • Educational background in psychology, social work, counseling, or related fields.
  • At least 2 years of experience in volunteering outreach and community mobilization is required.
  • Proficiency in using IT devices, such as tablets and GPS devices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members and beneficiaries.
  • Ability to manage high-stress situations and handle sensitive cases with empathy.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic environments.
  • Good organizational and documentation management skills.
  • Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English.

Organizational Policies:

  • Adhere to and promote CIN’s Code of Conduct, Child Safeguarding Policy, PSEA Policy, and Gender & Diversity Policy, promptly reporting any potential breaches.
  • Comply with and promote all CIN policies, including Internal Regulations and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Actively participate in weekly and monthly coordination meetings.
  • Uphold "Do No Harm" principles in all activities.
  • Perform additional duties as requested by the line manager, in alignment with the role.

Note:

Protection from PSEA is everyone’s responsibility, and all staff must adhere to the Code of Conduct, which upholds PSEA principles, both during and outside of work hours. Familiarization with and adherence to the Code of Conduct is mandatory for all staff, along with required training.
