JOB SUMMARY
The Nurse will provide consultation and basic medical assistance during the day at two shelters in addition to conducting awareness sessions on health topics.
MAJOR DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Activities
•Develop a monthly plan for the two shelters with the tasks and proposed activities
•Coordinate with the shelter manager to organize weekly visits
•Provide Medical check-ups for two shelters residents and their children
•Prepare a medical file for each resident and update the shelter manager and the social worker for follow-up
•Organize the roving program between shelters with the direct supervisor
•Prepare a monthly report on the medical follow-up
•Accompany the patients with medical consultations with the doctors at Caritas Lebanon PHCCs and other specialized consultations
•Coordinate the doctors’ visits to the shelters
•Screen the symptoms of any convenience disease upon arrival of the new residents, to ensure other residents’ safety and take the proper measures
•Conduct monthly sessions on health topics and other health issues in the two shelters
•Prepare materials for other health awareness sessions according to the needs in coordination with the shelter manager
•Distribute the monthly hygienic kits to the residents and humanitarian kits in coordination with the shelter manager and peer counselors
Generic Duties
•Follow Caritas Lebanon operational policy and procedures
•Respect the internal policies and procedures for example: dress code, attendance, discipline, etc.
•Complete schedules, activity planners, monitor staff availability and act against any shortfalls
•Resolve any staff issues and escalate any unresolved issue to the related manager
•Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor
JOB KNOWLEDGE
Academic:
•Bachelor degree in Nursing Sciences
Other Qualifications:
•Communication, writing, analytical and negotiation skills
Related Work Experience:
•3 to 5 years of experience in related field
Language skills:
•English and Arabic
Computer Literacy:
•MS-Word / MS-Excel – Intermediate level
