The officer is responsible to oversee the operation and the technical actions related to the migration and the Migrants Community Center and support the projects related field.


Operational Activities
•Identify new migrant beneficiaries through referrals, people approaching center and phone call and coordination with other social workers.
•Provide listening and counseling services to migrant workers and fill in the social file and integrate all related information on the system. Responsible of the Case Management.
•Refer migrant/refugees/Lebanese to relevant departments.
•Coordinate with other organizations/stakeholders and refer migrant workers to benefit from specific services that meet their needs.
•Implement activities-services according to the project’s requirements.
•Develop reporting as required.
•Respond to emergency cases and run the 24-hour helpline for migrant workers.
•Liaise with lawyers for legal consultations, and refer beneficiaries to relevant service providers when needed.
•Conduct field visits depending on the follow-up to be provided to each beneficiary (hospitals, doctors…)
•Report to the HOD the critical cases for final approval on the actions to be taken.
•Participate in training and attend meetings.
•Organize a timetable of the activities for the center.
•Organize regular meetings with the center’s staff in order to insure the proper implementation of the scheduled work plan.
•Monitor and manage the logistical and financial needs of the center.
•Take overall responsibility of managing the data and documentation at the center and ensuring that information is correctly recorded.
•Supervise the center’s staff.
•Oversee the migrants’ community’s needs.

Generic Duties

Follow Caritas Lebanon operational policy and procedures.
•Respect the internal policies and procedures for example: dress code, attendance, discipline, etc.
•Complete schedules, activity planning, monitor staff availability and act against any shortfalls.
•Resolve any staff issues and escalate any unresolved issue to the related manager.
•Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.



•Bachelor degree in Social Work

Other Qualifications:

•Communication, writing, analytical and negotiation skills

Related Work Experience:

•2 to 3 years of experience in related field

Language skills:

•English, Arabic and French

Computer Literacy:

•MS-Word / MS-Excel – Intermediate level
