Job Summary
The Field Officer will provide support to the department for the proper follow up and execution of ongoing project.
S/he should ensure that the project’s deliverables are executed as required and in accordance to the set timetable, to the budget and to the required quality standard (within agreed specifications) to meet the required results and donor requirements.
The Field Officer is responsible for the smooth implementation of projects and activities, logistics, human resources, administration and security procedures on the field.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Field Officer (FO) is the focal point of contact with the different stakeholders, including to Local Authorities, communities and beneficiaries. He/she will provide close follow up, and handle on the ground activities
- Facilitate the implementation of the project (particularly /field visits) under the supervision of the Head of Livelihoods and Development.
- Prepare, Support and evaluate activities on the field.
- Propose and implement plans of works after discussion of strategies and approval of the Head of Livelihoods and Development.
- Contribute in ongoing field assessments and data collection as required.
- Ensure quality implementation of project through regular visits.
- Ensure that data is accurately collected on a daily/weekly and monthly basis.
- Provide weekly reports to the Head of Livelihoods and Development.
- Implement schedules designed by and with the project coordinator and the Head of Livelihoods and Development.
- Achieve project deliverables in line with the project plan.
- Support in implementing personal livelihood plans when needed
- Ensure the technical quality and qualitative evaluation of the activities;
- Support in conducting evaluations on the performance of socio-economic deliverables and outputs, the effect and impact of the community project on population of the targeted area and the surrounding areas.
- Support in Conducting Field visits to House Holds Units and Business Assessments of the selected MSMEs; and support in the operation and management plan.
- Conducting roundtable discussions with project stakeholders to display results in order to be rectified and advising of problems encountered.
- Assist with the development and delivery of resources for the sustainability of the project.
Job knowledge
Academic:
- Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or any ather related field
Other Qualifications:
- Communication, writing, analytical and negotiation skills
Related Work Experience:
- 1 to 2 years of experience in related field
Language skills:
- English and Arabic
Computer Literacy:
- MS-Word / MS-Excel – Intermediate level
