Responsibility #1: Talking in charge the communications work of one project (50 % of the time)
Develops and maintains production schedules for various communications events.
Designs and implements communication plans for special events: Job fairs, graduation with VIPs… The officer liaises with media (TV, radio, newspapers…) and media agencies, prepares and issues press releases and press kit; supports amplification on social media.
Support in the provision of basic visibility materials (mainly for content) respecting donor rules and internal requirements.
Coordinating with different partners on the project’s communication plan, visibility requirements, and outreach materials and publications.
Developing high quality outreach and visibility materials (brochures, flyers, leaflets…) addressed not only to beneficiaries but also to different stakeholders.
Creating and managing an internal communication database (photos, stories, quotes)
Training the officers and community mobilizers on the communication material creation and protocols (rules and consents, how to generate stories, case studies, quotes, photographs, short videos, etc.)
Elaborates tools required for operational communication (presentations, FAQ documents, brochures, video clips, human interest stories, social media posts…) and community engagement (feedback mechanism, hotlines and surveys).
Responsibility #2: Graphic Design (50 % of the time)
Design T-shirts, banners, leaflets, brochures and other comms material
Follow up with printing of the material
Skills & knowledge:
- Experience in Graphic Design
- Experience in comms
- Experience in Photography and Video montage
- Knowledge in NGO's
- Team Player with strong interpersonal skills, the ability to build strong internal relationships and networks.
Experience:
At least 3-5 years of relevant experience, graphic design, NGO's, comms, photography, video
Academic Background:
Master's degree in one or several of the following areas: Graphic design, communications, or equivelant experience
