As the Marketing and Communication Officer at Borderless NGO, you will play a crucial role in crafting
and executing marketing strategies and communication campaigns to raise awareness, promote our
mission, and engage stakeholders. Your creativity, strategic thinking, and communication skills will be
vital in amplifying the impact of our organization's work and driving support for our initiatives. 

Marketing Strategy:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans aligned with Borderless NGO goals and objectives.
  • Identify key communication channels and platforms to effectively reach target audiences, including donors, volunteers, beneficiaries, and the general public.
  • Utilize data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts and make data-driven improvements.

Branding and Identity:

  • Ensure consistent and compelling branding across all communication channels and materials.
  • Establish the NGO as a recognizable and trusted brand in the sector.
  • Oversee the production of branded merchandise and promotional materials.

Digital Marketing:

  • Manage the NGO's online presence, including website content, social media platforms, and email campaigns.
  • Develop engaging multimedia content, such as videos, graphics, and infographics, to increase audience engagement.
  • Monitor online trends and adjust digital strategies accordingly to maximize outreach.

Content Creation:

  • Create and curate compelling content, such as blog posts, press releases, newsletters, and reports.
  • Collaborate with different departments to gather information and success stories for impactful communication.
  • Ensure all content is accurate, aligned with the NGO's values, and adheres to communication guidelines.
  • Craft compelling and impactful messages that resonate with various stakeholders and convey the NGO's mission and impact.
  • Utilize storytelling techniques to share success stories, case studies, and testimonials that highlight the positive outcomes of Borderless NGO initiatives.

Media and Public Relations:

  • Cultivate relationships with media outlets and journalists to secure media coverage for Borderless NGO initiatives and events.
  • Draft press releases and organize press conferences to communicate key announcements.
  • Act as the Borderless NGO spokesperson when required, ensuring consistent messaging and communication.
  • Attend networking events to forge valuable partnerships and collaborations with other organizations and potential stakeholders.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Liaise with donors, partners, and beneficiaries to understand their perspectives and communicate the NGO's impact effectively.
  • Organize events and campaigns to engage and involve stakeholders in the NGO's activities.


  • Conduct thorough research to identify potential donors, funding opportunities, and grant-making institutions.
  • Strategically approach and secure new donors, both locally and internationally, through persuasive and targeted fundraising initiatives.
  • Oversee and maintain the donor database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of donor information, contributions, and communication history.
  • Utilize the database to segment donors effectively and tailor personalized engagement strategies.
  • Develop and implement innovative strategies to engage donors, fostering long-term relationships and loyalty to the NGO's cause.
  • Lead the development of effective fundraising tools, such as donation landing pages, fundraising campaigns, and crowdfunding initiatives.
  • Create engaging content to support fundraising efforts, including impact stories, videos, and infographics that resonate with potential donors.
  • Prepare regular and accurate reports on fundraising activities, tracking progress towards fundraising goals and assessing the effectiveness of different campaigns.
  • Analyze key performance indicators to provide data-driven insights for optimizing fundraising strategies.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Proven experience 4 years in marketing and communication, preferably within the nonprofit sector or with social impact organizations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic, with the ability to tailor messages to various audiences.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing, social media management, and content creation tools.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative marketing ideas.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools to measure campaign success is a plus.
  • A passion for social causes and a deep understanding of the nonprofit sector's challenges and opportunities.
