Product/Service and MVP Development – REAF Program
Berytech is a leading organization in the Entrepreneurial Eco-system in Lebanon, that aims to provide a conducive environment for the creation and development of startups, through incubation, business support, counseling, funding, networking, and company hosting, hence taking part in the economic revival of the country, participating in wealth and job creation, and retaining graduates and high-level skills in Lebanon.
The Rural Entrepreneurs in Agri-Food (REAF) program aims at strengthening the business and product viability of innovative startups tackling sustainable rural economic development operating in South Mount Lebanon, Central and West Bekaa. The program will provide the startups with the tools to transform their ideas into sustainable and profitable businesses. REAF’s youth training will enhance their entrepreneurship mentality and entry into the job market.
The Accelerator Program's mission is to nurture and grow disruptive ideas, proof of concepts, and prototypes that share three common characteristics:
- A disruptive scientific or technological focus in agri-food, eco-tourism, circular economy, and sustainable agriculture.
- The possibility to scale in the local market and beyond that.
- The potential to create sustainable job opportunities locally.
The REAF Program seeks a Product/Service and MVP Development expert to Train 15 startups and deliver the following requirements:
- Conduct a practical workshop for startups with Proof of Concepts, focusing on the development of Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) tailored for Rural Development. Integrate Lean methodology, which emphasizes eliminating waste and focusing on value-adding activities, to streamline the product development process.
- Provide hands-on mentoring to startups in refining their product/service offerings and translating them into tangible MVPs. Utilize Agile approaches, known for their iterative and collaborative nature, to adapt to changing requirements and ensure continuous improvement.
- Guide startups in conducting user testing and feedback iterations to ensure the viability and effectiveness of their MVPs, a key component of Agile methodology.
- Assist startups in defining key performance indicators (KPIs) for MVP success in the context of Rural Development, allowing for measurable progress and data-driven decision-making.
- Engage startups in creating a dynamic product roadmap that outlines the iterative development stages, key milestones, and resource allocation. This roadmap will serve as a visual guide, aligning with both Lean and Agile principles, to ensure startups stay on course and adapt as necessary.
- Familiarity with Lean methodology, emphasizing efficiency and value delivery, and Agile approaches, known for their adaptability and iterative nature, in product development.
- No less than 5 years of experience in product/service development, particularly in the context of startups, Proof of Concepts, and MVP.
- Proven expertise in guiding startups through the process of MVP development, with a focus on practical implementation in sectors related to Rural Development.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex ideas into practical, actionable steps for startups.
- Experience working with startups, especially those in the Rural Development sector.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic, with a practical and hands-on approach to mentoring.
- Conduct a full-day in-person practical workshop at Berytech Mar Roukoz on MVP development for startups with Proof of Concepts in the REAF program, focusing on Rural Development, and 30 1on1 clinics (60 minutes each) to the 15 Startups.
- Provide hands-on mentoring to startups in refining their product/service offerings and developing tangible MVPs, applying Agile principles for iterative development.
- Assist startups in conducting user testing and feedback iterations to ensure the viability and effectiveness of their MVPs.
- Support startups in defining KPIs for MVP success in the context of Rural Development.
- Facilitate the creation of a dynamic product roadmap outlining iterative development stages, key milestones, and resource allocation, aligning with Lean and Agile principles.
- Written feedback on every Startup’s status.
