Pasta Drying Expert - Food System Challenge – FSC
Scope of work and Deliverables
The Consultant is expected to fulfill the following in addition to any other task required:
- .Advise the company on the best processing techniques related to pasta drying.
- Assist in determining the drying optimum operating points to optimize output, productivity, and ensure consistency of the overall process and product quality.
- Review the product shelf life and the used package and recommend enhancement.
- Asist the company in developing SOPs for the drying process.
- Validate equipment and material upon purchase.
As part of the program’s Monitoring and Evaluation (ME&L) processes, the consultant is required to:
- Deliver a briefing report to the program’s team
- Attending check-ins short meetings, if needed and required by the program’s team
- Attending MEL induction meeting before the beginning of the session.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food technology or any related field.
- Proven experience of working on similar project is a must.
- At least 10 years of experience in consulting on dehydration process and having proven track record of working in the pasta manufacturing industry.
- Fluent in English.
Timeline and Application
The selected Consultant is expected to start his/her activities at the soonest after selection; the exact timeline and effective working days are to be set based on both the company’s and the Consultant’s availability.
Candidates should submit the following documents:
- Technical (maximum two pages) describing the methodology to conduct the work based on the content suggested in section: “Scope of Work, Outputs, and Deliverables” elaborating it further.
- Profile and project references (maximum two pages): A brief explanation of the consultant(s) background should be submitted (CVs shall be included as annex) along with project references on the topic.
- Financial Proposal describing the expected renumeration and the proposed timeframe of the intervention.
