Context & Background

Berytech is a leading organization in the Entrepreneurial Eco-system in Lebanon, that aims to provide a conducive environment for the creation and development of startups, through incubation, business support, counseling, funding, networking, and the company hosting, hence taking part in the economic revival of the country, participating in wealth and job creation, and retaining graduates and high-level skills in Lebanon.

The Accelerator Program's mission is to nurture and grow disruptive ideas, proof of concepts, and prototypes that share three common characteristics:

  • A disruptive scientific or technological focus in the Clean-tech sector.
  • The possibility to scale beyond the local market.
  • The potential to create sustainable job opportunities locally.

Scope of work

The Accelerator Program seeks to train entrepreneurs in business negotiation basics and sales support. The selected candidate is expected to deliver a comprehensive, interactive Negotiation Workshop that equips participants with both fundamental and advanced skills. The workshop will provide entrepreneurs with practical tools to handle various negotiation scenarios; while ensuring they can immediately implement strategies to improve their business outcomes.

The candidate will be required to deliver a half-day in-person workshop that covers the following:

  • Introducing participants to the core principles of commercial negotiations, emphasizing the importance of preparation, understanding opposing interests, and setting clear objectives for successful outcomes.
  • Guiding participants through different frameworks through case studies and practical examples (win-win, joint problem-solving, and trading concessions…) ensuring they can strategically apply these techniques to both in-person and online negotiation settings.
  • Teaching participants effective preparation techniques, including stakeholder mapping, identifying negotiation tools, and setting break points.
  • Providing insights into the specifics of negotiating in digital environments, addressing how participants can maintain power, adapt strategies, and leverage online platforms to secure favorable outcomes.
  • Teach participants how to create efficient sales approaches, covering everything from lead generation and qualification to closing deals.
  • Facilitating hands-on case studies and live role-playing exercises where participants can apply the knowledge gained during the workshop. Ensure they receive real-time feedback to enhance their practical skills and improve their negotiation strategies.

Deliverables

  • Half-day workshop covering the scope of work mentioned above
  • Followed by up to 2 one-on-one sessions with up to 8 startups (total of up to 16 one-on-one sessions)

Qualifications

  • At least 7 years of experience as a Consultant, Trainer, or similar role, preferably with a startup or in a startup environment
  • Strong negotiation knowledge and skills
  • Practical negotiation, sales, or relevant experience
  • Ability to effectively prepare and deliver training programs
  • Strong communications skills
  • Fluent in English
