Berytech is a leading organization in the Entrepreneurial Eco-system in Lebanon, that aims to provide a conducive environment for the creation and development of startups, through incubation, business support, counseling, funding, networking, and company hosting, hence taking part in the economic revival of the country, participating in wealth and job creation, and retaining graduates and high-level skills in Lebanon.

About Euromed Clusters Forward:

Euromed Clusters Forward is a 4-year project that aims at establishing and improving clusters legal policies, strengthening clusters capacity & regional cooperation, and strengthening regional value chains. Berytech is the implementing partner of Euromed Clusters Forward in Lebanon, that is funded by the European Union and coordinated by Anima Investment Network with 3 implementing partners and 9 affiliates from the Euromed region.

About Cluster Booster:

Cluster Booster is a technical assistance activity under the Euromed Clusters Forward led by Berytech. It aims at strengthening the skills of cluster managers, staff, and SME members in the South Mediterranean region. This 18-month program offers training and technical help to help clusters grow and succeed.

Key focuses include establishing and improving the governance and sustainability models; developing strategies to attract new members; analyzing value chains for better market positioning; scaling-up their business performances and enhancing technological and innovation capabilities to foster North-South Mediterranean collaboration. 

Cluster Overview:

An Egyptian export council under the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade, operating since 1997 with 150 active members. Its mission is to improve the competitiveness of Egyptian engineering products by providing export-related services such as producing market intelligence studies, organizing capacity building workshops, participating in international exhibitions, setting up trade missions to priority export markets and buyers’ missions to Egypt, and implementing economic development projects in collaboration with local stakeholders as well as international partners.

Scope of work

 

The cluster is organizing the Home Appliances, Tableware and Interior light solutions exhibition (HATS) in Egypt, to gather buyers, dealmakers, and market builders along with their members to initiate collaborations and business linkages and open opportunities. The event will happen in Egypt during the month of July 2025.

The specialized company /expert will assist the cluster in mapping, reaching out, inviting, and securing the attendance of international buyers, importers, and resellers for the trade show in the aim of generating export leads.

  • Launch of the consultancy:
    • Organize a kick-off meeting with the cluster representatives to establish an understanding of the scope of the inbound mission, identify the targeted export market(s), desired outcomes, and the number of buyers to be secured
    • Align on selection criteria for inviting buyers.
  • Develop the high level strategy:
    • Devise a high-level strategy detailing the process that will be followed to identify, classify, rate, invite and confirm the attendance of relevant buyers operating in the home appliances, lighting & tableware industry in the targeted markets.
  • Market mapping & identifying buyers:
    • Map the potential buyers, importers, and resellers in the targeted export market(s).
    • Develop a database of relevant international buyers.
    • Prioritize the listed international buyers, importers, and resellers based on specific criteria such as their size, purchase power, specific requirements, etc.
  • Reaching out and invitation process:
    • Reach out to the prioritized international buyers, importers, and resellers to invite them to the home appliances, lighting & tableware trade show in Egypt.
    • Communicate the benefits of attending, including networking opportunities, exclusive B2B meetings, and product showcases.
  • Follow up with the invited international buyers, importers, and resellers to confirm their attendance.
  • Coordinate with the cluster’s management team on the travel and accommodation arrangements of the confirmed international buyers, importers, and resellers.
  • Reporting tracking: Provide weekly progress updates on outreach efforts, responses, and confirmation and deliver a final report summarizing:
    • The number of buyers contacted and confirmed.
    • Market insights gained during the outreach process.
    • Recommendations for future buyer engagement strategies.
  • To note that the event will be organized by the cluster during the second week of July 2025.

  • High-level strategy document outlining the buyer identification, outreach, and confirmation process.
  • Buyer database: List of mapped and prioritized international buyers.
  • Outreach progress report: Status of buyer engagement and responses (Mid May).
  • Confirmed attendee list.
  • Final report summarizing the outreach results, market insights, and recommendations.
Timeline

 

The total number of working days allocated for this consultancy is set at 40 days.

22 April                Kick-off meeting with the cluster representatives

30 April                 Elaborating & validating the inbound mission high-level strategy

20 May                 Mapping and prioritizing the potential buyers

10 June                 Reaching out to the prioritized buyers

30 June                Confirming the invited buyers and coordinating their travel and accommodation arrangements

Qualifications

 

  • A consultancy firm/consortium of individual consultants/individual consultant with at least 7 of experience in inbound missions’ coordination and/or export facilitation.(15 Points)
  • A proven track record in designing and implementing strategies for finding international buyers, resellers, and trade agents.(15 Points) 
  • A sound knowledge of the international home appliances & tableware market and its import/export practices.(10 Points)
  • Strong communication and networking skills.(10 Points)
  • Fluency in English and Arabic.(10 Points)

The Application should include:

  • Technical proposal describing the methodology, content of the mission.
  • Financial proposal describing the costs incurred in preparing and providing the mission. The financial proposal shall be quoted in EURO.
  • CVs of the individuals involved
