Call for a Soft skills Consultant– ACT Smart Innovation Hub

Context & Background

Berytech is a leading organization in the Entrepreneurial Eco-system in Lebanon, that aims to provide a conducive environment for the creation and development of startups, through incubation, business support, counseling, funding, networking, and the company hosting, hence taking part in the economic revival of the country, participating in wealth and job creation, and retaining graduates and high-level skills in Lebanon.

Through the Agrytech Accelerator Program, startups receive support to develop their Minimum Viable Product, test it with early adopters, and build their capacity to establish their business from marketing, financial, management and operational levels. The Program aims to contribute to job creation and sustainable economic development while advancing the Lebanese entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The Agrytech Accelerator Program's mission is to nurture and grow proof of concepts, and prototypes that share three common characteristics:

1. An innovation with scientific or technological focus in the agri-food sector.
2. The possibility to scale beyond the local market
3. The potential to create sustainable job opportunities locally

Scope of work

The Accelerator Program seeks to empower entrepreneurs with essential emotional and leadership skills critical for navigating the challenges of running a startup. By focusing on self-awareness, stress management, and empathetic leadership, participants will be better equipped to lead effectively and foster a motivated, productive workforce.

The selected candidate will be required to deliver two 3-hour interactive power sessions for up to 12 Agrytech startups covering the following:

1. Enhancing Emotional Intelligence for Better Team Dynamics

• Learn how to build emotional awareness to strengthen interpersonal relationships and create a positive work environment.
• Practice self-regulation and empathy to improve collaboration and understanding within teams.

1. Self-Reflection and Personal Development

• Learn how to set meaningful personal and professional goals to guide the entrepreneurs’ path to improvement.

1. Managing Stress and Making Confident Decisions

• Identify stressors and apply techniques such as mindfulness and relaxation to stay balanced.
• Enhance decision-making skills by using structured approaches to evaluate risks and make informed choices, especially under pressure.

1. Empathetic Leadership and Team Motivation

• Develop an empathetic leadership style to uplift team morale and productivity.
• Learn how to inspire and engage the team by tapping into their motivations, fostering a supportive and driven work environment.

The power sessions will be highly interactive and engaging, incorporating practical, hands-on activities, real-world scenarios, team building games, peer-to-peer learning and discussions, as well as personalized assessments to ensure reaching the learning objectives.

Deliverables:

• Two in-person 3-hour power sessions.
• Workshop content and material (PowerPoint presentation)

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of relevant experience, preferably with a startup or in a startup environment.
• Previous experience working with businesses or startups is a plus.
• Possess strong professional credentials and skills in delivering training and mentorship.  
• Demonstrates strong communications skills and professional credibility to influence entrepreneurs.
