The Social Media and Communications Consultant will be responsible for:

  1. Developing and implementing a social media and communication strategy for the BF Beirut Office and the EU project specifically, according to objectives outlined in the project proposal
  2. Setting branding guidelines that are in line with BF’s mission, vision and strategy
  3. Undertaking the necessary monitoring and evaluation activities to determine and ensure the success of the communication and social media strategy
  4. Contributing expertise in social media, online engagement and public outreach to BF’s overall strategic planning
  5. Coordinating and managing the development and production of all communication materials for BF and its projects to effectively support the advancement of BF’s mission and vision in Arabic and English
  6. Leading the writing and editing all communication documents, including publications, communication materials
  7. Ensuring online presence and visibility for the project on different social media platforms, including but not limited to the BF website, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.
  8. Creating and sharing regular updates on activities implemented within the scope of the project
  9. Responding to all social media inquiries in a timely and accurate fashion
  10. Taking photos and videos of the activities and events implemented, ensuring that all BF media coverage is recorded internally and archived for staff purposes

Requirements

  • Proven experience in social media, web content and content creation 
  • Fluency in Arabic and English, both written and verbal
  • Experience in facilitating the production, editing and disseminating multimedia content for online audiences
  • Excellent experience in writing content for social media
  • Proven experience in creating purposeful content for external use
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office).
  • Previous experience with EU guidelines is a plus
  • Demonstrated experience in using a professional camera, filming and sound equipment
  • Graphic design skills
  • Video editing skills
  • Experience using Adobe Photoshop and/or Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Experience using advanced tools for online publishing, including content management systems and social media authoring tools is desirable
  • Creative and innovative approach to communications and branding
