Overview: The Local Coordinator will play a dual role in ensuring effective coordination at the municipal level while also supporting administrative and management tasks across the entire project. This position aims to enhance project implementation through localized focus and overarching project assistance.

Responsibilities:

Area Mapping and Coordination:

Collaborate with the project team to map target areas within the municipality.

Coordinate day-to-day operations and programmatic activities within the designated municipality.

Event Organization and Facilitation:

Plan, organize, and actively participate in dialogue meetings, events, and training programs in the municipality.

Facilitate group discussions to identify socio-economic needs and develop initiatives/projects to address them effectively.

Reporting and Documentation:

Prepare detailed field progress reports.

Ensure comprehensive documentation of all project activities.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Cultivate positive working relationships with partners and stakeholders in the community to foster cooperation and project success.

Ensure effective communication between the project team and local stakeholders.

Assist in the dissemination of project information and updates.

Administrative and Project Management Support:

Assist the Project Manager and Junior Project Manager in administrative tasks including scheduling, minute-taking, and communication.

Maintain project documentation and records.

Support the implementation of project activities across different municipalities.

Assist in the preparation of project reports and presentations.

Monitoring and Evaluation:

Support the monitoring and evaluation of project activities.

Assist in data collection and analysis to measure project impact.

Qualifications:

Strong preference for being a local of the designated region and residing in it.

Understanding of Lebanon's political situation and administrative structures.

Excellent communication and representational skills, including proficiency in written and oral Arabic communication across diverse cultural contexts.

Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments and manage stressful situations effectively.

Flexibility and adaptability to evolving project needs and working dynamics.

Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively.

Previous experience in facilitating group discussions is preferred.

Experience working with (I)NGOs is an advantage.

Willingness and/or ability to conduct regular field visits both within the designated region and to Beirut.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
