Job Purpose
Provide overall leadership and management of the Renaissance Center, guide the implementation of the project activities, supervise and support project staff in order to advance the project goals.

Duties and Responsibilities
Project Management
•    Lead development and implementation of the Renaissance Center project.
•    Raise awareness about the project and its activities
•    Design and offer artistic & cultural courses & workshops for children, youth, and adults
•    Gathering a group of volunteer youth and adults who will help steer the project
•    Organize events together with the team and community members
•    Support all activities and ensure minimum standards for Child Protection are maintained
•    Ensure progress is achieved on the indicators of the project
•    In collaboration with the Monitoring and Evaluation M&E Officer, periodically review project M&E systems including M&E methodologies and mechanisms for information flow, analysis of program data and impact and management of reporting.
•    Together with the Arts & Cultural Specialist and Psychotherapist, continuously identify program gaps and new opportunities, adapting program design and implementation strategies to effectively meet client needs.
•    Lead the preparation and compilation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports in collaboration with M&E reporting team and Arts & Cultural Specialist
•    Lead regular staff meetings to discuss progress, challenges faced, proposed action plans, etc
•    Report to the Program Coordinator monthly on quantitative and qualitative progress, serious issues of concern and team spirit. Report immediately any urgent support needs or serious matters of concern
Partnership management
•    Maintain working partnerships and good communication with representatives of other CBOs, municipalities, local community groups, etc
•    Attend monthly UN working group meetings for Arts & Culture, Child Protection, etc
•    Liaise with other centers/CBOs in the area as needed
•    Liaise with AMURT’s Program Coordinator as needed.
Human Resources and Capacity Building
•    In collaboration with the Admin & HR officer and with the Arts & Cultural Specialist, identify staffing needs and ensure that appropriate staff for the project are recruited
•    Supervise and coach all staff & develop personal monitoring plans in collaboration with senior staff if needed
•    Ensure all Project staff are complying with the code of conduct, child protection policy and all other policies.
Others duties as required by the Program Coordinator or Board of Directors

Qualifications
Education

University degree in a field related to Education, Psychology, or other related degree.
Experience
Minimum 5 years professional experience in humanitarian field or business administration.
Skills
•    Demonstrable technical expertise in the assessment of, design, and delivery of relevant project programming.
•    Strong experience in training and capacity-building
•    Experience with participatory approaches and working with vulnerable groups
•    Good knowledge and understanding of Humanitarian Minimum Standards
•    Positive and solutions-oriented leader focused on team-building, problem-solving, and support for the teams and beneficiary communities
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills; English & Arabic required
•    Excellent MS Office skills, excellent typing skills

•    Collaborative approach; comfortable in different cultural environments.
•    Can work under pressure & meet deadlines
•    Works well within team or self-motivated independently

Working Conditions
-    70% Field work and 30 % office work
-    Position requires in-country travel
-    Position requires availability and willingness to work outside regular office
-    Position may require willingness and ability manage crisis situations
