Training Modules Advisor

Project Background:

The “National Youth Engagement and Volunteerism” project focuses on establishing an online innovative platform that allows youth volunteers to register and apply/be matched with relevant engagement volunteering opportunities.

Advisor’s Role:

• Evaluate existing induction and training packages that are targeted to youth volunteers of age 15-24 across all Lebanese governates, as well as entities from the civil society, ngos, government, public and private sectors.
• Align the packages according to the project objectives, scope of work and the target audience.
• Understand the current skills gaps and develop content to fill these gaps (such as communication, team building, presentation skills, design thinking, negotiation, etc.)
• Revise, modify and update the training material.
• Provide induction and training packages that engage the participants and allow them to progress in their volunteering experience at an effective pace.
• Deploy feedback tools to assess the effectiveness of the material.
• After collecting the post induction and training feedback from volunteers and partners, the advisor is requested to track the outcomes, execute immediate corrections on the content ensuring re-alignment with the project objectives and submit amended versions of the packages before the following training session.
• Identify the obstacles that might arise during the delivery of the material.
• Share lessons learned, tips and ideas that assist the project team in the developing a creative and effective delivery of the material.
• Must be fluent in English and Arabic and able to translate the packages from/to both languages.
• All Modules will be accessible in sign language and via audio for young people with deafness and blindness. Advisor will check the accuracy of the translation.
• The advisor should be fully knowledgeable and aware about UNICEF’s child and youth protection policies including Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) – make sure they are well represented in the packages.

Deliverables:

• Revamped, audited and comprehensive volunteers’ induction and training package in both English and Arabic languages.
• Revamped, audited and comprehensive partners’ induction and training package in both English and Arabic languages.
• Tailored feedback surveys to measure and monitor the effectiveness of the materials post-delivery.
