The MEAL Assistant will be based in Beirut, they will work closely with project staff in the field to support the implementation of the protection project and enhance program quality through improved data collection, data entry and reporting. The Assistant will also support the MEAL
Officer in managing daily tasks and providing technical assistance to field teams to ensure effective project implementation.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
● Collect and report daily data using both donor-specific tools and the organization's internal monitoring and tracking systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
● Register participants for skill-building and vocational training (VT) classes, administer necessary placement tests, and facilitate appropriate class enrollment.
● Track and maintain participant class attendance and trainers' timesheets, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
● Collaborate with social workers to develop and maintain a bi-weekly schedule of activities.
● Conduct regular Outcome Monitoring (OM) activities, including satisfaction surveys, baseline assessments, and end-line evaluations, to measure program impact and effectiveness.
● Support the protection team with various activities, including facilitating focus group discussions and taking detailed notes to document key insights and observations
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements:
● Knowledge of the humanitarian context, including an understanding of challenges, principles, and best practices in humanitarian response.
● Ability to work effectively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude and fostering a collaborative work environment.
● English fluency required (verbal and written.)
● Proficiency with Excel in writing formulas, queries, and validation.
● Previous experience with Kobo is a plus.
● Bachelor degree in Statistics, Computer science or any other relevant field.
