Grant Coordinator
Requirements:
Expérience in fundraising and research management in a
university, consultancy, or other research institute
- Demonstrated organizational and analytical skills including
ability to meet strict deadlines, prioritise and multi-task across
a portfolio of projects (with minimal supervision)
- Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
including strong reporting and presentation skills
Impeccable attention to details and rigor, results-oriented,
problem-solving attitude, flexibility and ability to take own
initiatives
- Fluent in written and spoken English and be an excellent
communicator. French language skills are a plus.
Job description
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Research and write proposals, stewardship reports and
other materials for existing and prospective donors;
2. Assemble budgets and financial reports in collaboration
with Finance Department staff;
3. Develop relationships with AlGhina's programmatic staff to
keep abreast of research and advocacy projects and
incorporate them into grant writing;
4. Form relationships with foundations' program officers to
facilitate the production of grant proposals;
5. ldentify and solicit new sources of support by matching
AlGhina's programs with donors' funding priorities;
6. Assist in the development of strategy for cultivating grants
from donors;
7. Ensure that fundraising goals are met and that reporting
requirements to donors are fulfilled in a timely manner;
8. Monitor progress against milestones and outputs promised
to donors in grant agreements;
9. Operate in compliance with organizational regulations and
rules, including the policies of applicable employee
agreements; and
10. Perform other tasks as may be required.
