Project Assistant

ALEF will review all applications as they arrive. All applicants must meet the minimum requirements described above. Applications not matching the required qualifications will be rejected.
The Project Assistant will be in charge of monitoring and documenting Human Rights abuses throughout Lebanon. Based on identifying, reporting, writing notes and submitting cleaned and organized data and trends, the Project Assistant will provide the Project Coordinator with the necessary information to feed into ALEF’s reports, analysis and advocacy.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Monitor Human Rights abuses (mainly discrimination, hate speech, violence and protests, and events related to the criminal justice sector).
- Document and compile data, articles and events using a specific software, in addition to keeping relevant records.
- Draft weekly updates laying out trends and specific findings in an analytical way using measurable indicators when necessary and if possible.
- Support in the drafting of research papers concerning ALEF’s Freedom of Religion and Belief’s project.
