Description:
Position General Obejctive
- To support the HR department and bases in tracing, reporting and follow up all COVID-19 related cases among ACF staff.
- Ensure and facilitate staff access to right support channels.
- Support the HRCO and DCD in updating COVID-19 related SOP’s, protocols, and procedures.
- Implement new practices and initiatives relevant to staff care.
- Train ACF employees on COVID-19 protocols and procedures.
- Implement Relevant staff care and COVID-19 capacity building initiatives and trainings at mission level.
Objective 1: COVID-19 Case Management (40%)
- Serve as the mission COVID-19 focal point and work closely with the base focal points to ensure proper case management.
- Actively trace cases with symptoms or who have been in contact with positive and suspicious cases.
- Actively report different cases to HRCO, DCD, and HOB and HR Manager
- Actively suggest proper actions to take for each individual case.
- Constant and consistent follow up with each case and share proper actions to follow.
- In close coordination with HRCO and DCD, proper clearance for cases in quarantine following ACF procedures and protocol.
- Constantly share updates in local relevant legislations with HR Coordinator and ensure proper implementation of changes and updates after HRCO validation.
- Support the HRCO and DCD in updating existing COVID-19 SOP’s and protocols.
- Actively report and discuss new interventions when needed.
- Close follow up with the insurance agent to ensure staff are properly covered and referred to necessary channels when needed.
- Proper documentation and filing for cases in a safe and confidential place.
Objective 2: Training and Capacity building (30%)
- Conduct COVID-19 awareness and refreshing sessions.
- Conduct Awareness sessions for COVID-19 SOP’s and protocol
- Build staff capacity and compliance in COVID-19 health measurements and protocol.
- Contribute in creating necessary training materials related to COVID-19.
- Build COVID-19 focal points capacity in handling cases as front liners.
- Contribute in creating prevention methods (reporting, adherence to protocols, adherence to actions, etc.) relevant to COVID-19
- Proper filing and documentation.
Objective 3: Staff care Initiatives (10%)
- Support HRCO in implementation of Staff care initiatives at mission level.
- Provide capacity building and trainings for staff and managers, to enable them to fulfil their Staff Care responsibilities
- Coordinate with line managers, staff focal points, medical and psychosocial support to ensure necessary channels are established in order to provide support when and how it is required
- Support the HRCO and DCD in updating existing staff care SOP’s and protocols.
- Support HRCO and HRM’s in follow up of critical incidents.
Objective 4: Reporting (20%)
- Ensure that Action Against Hunger policies and procedures are monitored and maintained.
- Proper reporting to HRCO and DCD of breaches in ACF protocol, COD, and internal regulations.
- Adequate and timely reporting on all COVID-19 cases, critical incidents to HRCO, DCD, and HOB.
- Attend the HR monthly Meeting
Objective 5: Security
- Respect the security rules specified in the mission and base security plan, see to it that the team under his/her responsibility complies with the security plan and perform the security management tasks that can be assigned in its protocols.
- Communicate to the security managers of the working location any security related information or noncompliance with the security plan
Objective 6: Support humanitarian activities of Action Against Hunger
- Support the emergency interventions of the organization as per the employee’s abilities.
- Support any activity that helps reaching our humanitarian goals, as per the employee’s abilities.
- Promote Gender Balance in teams when recruiting
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Training/ Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Public Health, or related discipline. Post Graduate qualification in Human Resources will be an added asset
- Technical specific knowledge:
- Ability to create an environment in which others can talk confidentially and within a climate of established trust.
- Solid knowledge of HR labour law.
- Advanced training skills.
- Strong representation skills and experience with delivering training sessions in addition to development of relevant trainings.
- Demonstrate the highest level of ethical behaviour.
- Remain flexible & adapt to changes in work environment.
- Study and apply new information and take initiatives.
- Excellent time-management, problem-prevention and problem-solving skills.
- Work accurately with close attention to detail.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Possess a work ethic that includes neatness, punctuality and accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate interaction with the workforce.
- Previous experience:
- At least 2- years of professional experience in duty of care and staff care discipline.
- Solid experience in delivering relevant trainings and awareness sessions in addition to development of necessary training materials and methods.
- Experience working with a diverse workforce.
- Humanitarian sector knowledge:
- Prior experience working with a non-profit community services corporation a plus
- Action Against the Hunger knowledge:
- Not a compulsory requirement
- Languages:
- Compulsory: English and Arabic
- IT and specific systems:
- Basic computer skills, including e-mail, word processing and spreadsheets
- Advanced skills on Excel
- Excellent skills on PPT
- Mobility (national/ international); National - 85% travel to the field (50% Zahle, and 35% Tyre and Beirut)
