GAME Background
GAME is working for social change through youth-led street sports and culture in Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.
GAME establishes innovative facilities, offers youth-leader’s trainings as coaches and role models in street sports and civil society and gives them the opportunity to use entrepreneurship to make positive changes for themselves and for peers and children.
GAME is a top 150 NGO with nearly 20 years of experience in lowering the threshold to the positive social communities of street sports and culture. Together with likeminded partners GAME is empowering children and youth from vulnerable areas and refugee settings.
Consultancy Framework
GAME Lebanon is looking to recruit an individual or a team to provide gender and child protection consultancy services, as described below, as part of the Youth Resolve II (YRII) Project. Under YRII, GAME will work on building communities’ resilience and strengthening social stability through Street-Sports, and for the first time in Lebanon, through a Street Sports Incubator.
Youth Resolve II is the continuation of a project funded by the European Union, through the European Union’s Regional Trust Fund, the “EU MADAD” fund, and carried out by World Vision, UTOPIA, DPNA and GAME. The goal of the consortium is to empower youth by providing them with the tools to become leading actors in their communities.
Please note that the Call is open for consultancy firms and/or independent (teams of) consultants and experts and requires at least presence in Lebanon and fluent Arabic and English language skills.
Confidentiality
GAME will treat the content of all proposals as being confidential and information provided in the proposals will be used for the purpose of deciding on the award of the service contract as described in this document.
Objectives of the consultancy
Overall objective: To strengthen policies, material, and capacity building towards prevention (safeguarding), response to violence (child protection) and strengthening capacities towards SDG 5 – Gender Equality – to support gender transformative change within GAME's programming in general and YRII in particular. The consultant will review existing policies, templates, and tools, identify the gaps regarding implementation, lead a collaborative design of tools and materials for trainings, reporting and referral system, investigation mechanism and competencies, and train a national focal point, staff, volunteers, and representatives of the organization on their use.
Deliverables
The following deliverables are to be discussed and revised with the selected consultant(s) and captured in an initial workplan to be developed as a first step of this consultancy:
Consultant(s) profile
Education: A master’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
Years of experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in gender equity and child protection programs’ development and implementation.
Languages: High standards of written and verbal English and Arabic languages.

General Terms and Conditions
Conflict of Interest
Any conflicts of interest involving an applicant must be fully disclosed to GAME. Failure to disclose a conflict may disqualify an application or invalidate an award of the contract.
Intellectual Property
Any concept, content development, guidelines, or other material developed during the contract will be considered a copyrighted property of GAME.
Contract period
Starting April 2021 with an average of 9 months for deliverables plus some days till 2022 for capacity building and trainings.
Evaluation Criteria
The evaluation of the technical bids, submitted by consultants/consultancy firms, would be conducted according to the following criteria: Professional Experience, educational qualifications, experience in Lebanon and quality of technical proposal. The analysis of the technical bids is 75% and the financial bids will constitute the 25% left.
