Expert on Empowering Youth: Health and Rights Awareness
About the Program:
The Lebanese League for Women in Business (LLWB), in partnership with Oxfam, proposes a transformative project aimed at raising awareness among young people in universities about Empowering Youth: Health and Rights Awareness and promoting gender equality for more inclusive societies in Lebanon. The project focuses on empowering youth from various universities. LLWB is closely collaborating with, including women and men, and persons with disabilities (PWD), to reclaim civic spaces and advocate for their health and rights fostering a society underpinned by principles of equality and non-discrimination at all levels and in various sectors.
LLWB has a strong background of working on reforms and combating sexual harassment, as well as pushing forward for youth to be innovative and aware of tailored solutions to systemic societal challenges. As LLWB has a strong linkage with various universities across the country and has performed participatory gender audits and developed action plans and training programs on inclusive and gender aware societies, this initiative will target three major universities in Lebanon.
Scope of Consultancy:
LLWB is seeking a qualified expert to conduct training on 3 different days to 3 different academic entities in Beirut and Mount Lebanon- Aley. The expert is expected to give a training session for 2 or 3 hours in person, on Empowering Youth: Health and Rights Awareness
- The expert will give a training to a group of 20 students (Men and women) participants from each university.
- The expert should have extensive proven knowledge and experience in the topic addressed. They should demonstrate a proven track record of facilitating workshops and training in professional settings and possess strong communication interpersonal skills to effectively engage diverse audiences. Additionally, the expert should be able to create an inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and interaction among participants.
This will include:
Targeted Empowering Youth: Health and Rights Awareness Training where the expert will deliver focused training sessions tailored specifically for students from various academic universities on the importance of access to health and rights services, identify key challenges faced in Lebanon, and strategies to promote health and well-being, mentally and physically. The session will also include discussions related to addressing barriers, and empowering youth participants to advocate for inclusive and equitable health and rights policies and practices.
Timeline:
The assignment is expected to take place during the month of April 2025 (in present training sessions).
Required Qualifications:
- Applicants must hold a degree in public health, nursing science, social work, community health,
- or any other relevant field. The following qualifications are required:
- At least three years of work experience in conducting training and organizing workshops related to Empowering Youth: Health and Rights Awareness.
Candidates will be requested to send previous training reports on their previous work in this regard.
- Advanced communication skills in Arabic and English.
- Relevant experience with NGOs and universities.
Ability to produce professional training sessions in English and in Arabic is required. LLWB will select the expert for the assignment, considering the proposal submitted by the applicant with the detailed outline, experience, and availability to deliver during the time frame.
Deliverables:
- Conducting 3 training days in 3 different universities each for a group of 20: Focused on identifying key challenges faced in Lebanon, and strategies to promote health and well-being, mentally and physically, and address barriers, and empower youth participants to advocate for inclusive and equitable health and rights policies and practices.
- Report outlining methodology and work plan of the training assignment. Attendees feedback, content of the workshop, and analysis of the pre-posttest.
- Send 3 to 4 questions and answers for LLWB PM and officer for the pre and post-test to measure the progress of the attendees before and after the session. Noting that LLWB will prepare the links for the online pre-post test, and LLWB will be follow up on their filling. The results will be sent as raw data to trainer for analysis after the training.
- Power point Presentation in Arabic and English with key learning outcomes for university students that would be delivered to the youth participants and to LLWB, and that uses the LLWB design. PPT content, will be checked and approved by LLWB before the training session.
- A one paragraph covering the activity that was held, and the training organized with pictures and quotes from participants to be used on social media and the website, the paragraph aims to show direct impact.
- Submitting Comprehensive report: Submit final report at the end of the project highlighting achievements, progress, lesson learned, recommendations, and success stories.
- With this call for proposal, LLWB requests interested experts to express their interest and send a cover letter with clear commitment to conducting the Training, the expert needs to send a financial proposal covering all the above deliverables and ensure that MOF certification is needed.
Note: Failing to provide these documents will lead to a deduction of the withholding tax (8.5%) as per the Lebanese Law.

- An updated CV with at least 2 references, with their names, contact details and emails.
- A cover letter outlining relevant experience and qualifications. In PDF, with a clear financial proposal in USD dollars covering the 3 days of training (3 sessions) and all the preparations and after-training material to be sent to LLWB. The lumpsum sent should include all taxes. Examples of previous training led to be sent with the applications.
- Copy of passports or IDs and Lebanese financial registration documents. Note: Failing to provide these documents will lead to a deduction of the withholding tax (8.5%) as per the Lebanese Law.
