In March 2024, the International Organization for Migration's (IOM) Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) team conducted Housing, Land and Property (HLP) revalidation survey in Naivasha IDP camp hosting a total of 1,316 households (5,371 individuals). Most of the interviewed household respondents were female (76%), and 24 per cent were male. Among the surveyed households, it was found that 77per cent expressed a need for land or integration within the local community. On the other hand, 15 per cent of the households indicate a preference to return or resettlement, and 8 per cent expressing intention to return or resettlement actually owned land. As for rights over land ownership, 62 per cent were found to have titles or registered ownership. Fifty per cent of the households were reported to be married or cohabiting, 22 per cent widowed, and 15 per cent single households. Regarding land disputes, one in four households (25%) were found to be involved in land or property disputes.
