CARE’s mission is centered on putting people first by implementing innovative and effective programming in the areas it serves. Currently, CARE operates in Beirut, Mount Lebanon, Akkar, North Lebanon, South Lebanon, and the Beqaa Valley. Our programs cover both emergency and development sectors, including livelihood, food security, protection, gender, shelter, and water, sanitation, and hygiene. We target the most vulnerable populations, including both host communities and refugees. Over the past seven years, CARE has supported over half a million beneficiaries.
Looking forward, CARE Lebanon’s program strategy will focus on strengthening and expanding emergency response capacity, providing essential services, and pursuing development projects in food security, livelihood support, WASH, Shelter, gender, and protection.
