World Vision is one of the world’s leading humanitarian development and advocacy organization and operates in nearly 100 countries worldwide, including Lebanon.

The project aims to enhance climate-resilient livelihoods in Akkar through sustainable water management and agricultural enhancement. A key component is the development of an irrigation infrastructure system that collects water from Al Kabir River via HDPE pipelines and directs it to two concrete water tanks located in different areas. From these tanks, water is then piped to agricultural lands. Given the differences in geographic conditions—especially the longer distances and steeper slopes associated with one collection point—tailored pumping solutions and designs are required. In addition, the project will incorporate a natural water treatment system (including excavation, concrete lining, gravels, geotextile, and aquatic plants) designed to manage a capacity of 40 m³.
