About the project

International Alert Lebanon in partnership with UNDP Lebanon is providing Conflict Sensitivity Training and Guidance to organisations working within the framework of the Lebanon Response Plan (LRP).

The project objective is to strengthen the capacities of LRP partners to support recovery and stabilization in a conflict sensitive way. As part of the support Alert will be providing training in Conflict Sensitivity and Do No Harm to staff of national and international organisations operating across Lebanon and one Training for Trainers for selected professionals preparing to deliver conflict sensitivity workshops to their colleagues and partners.

We are seeking to contract an individual or a company to provide communications services to the project.

 

Objectives and Scope of Work

The objectives of the service are:

  • To enhance the visibility of the project and demonstrate the value of conflict sensitivity trainings to civil society organisations working in Lebanon
  • To inform civil society actors about the need for and benefit of conflict sensitive programming
  • To increase interest in training and learning about conflict sensitivity and promote the use of existing resources

The service provider will work closely with the International Alert team to develop and implement a project-level visibility and communication strategy. The services are anticipated to include the production of social media posts, videos and reels targeted at LRP partners and civil society actors in Lebanon.

 

Contract duration and level of effort

The services will be provided between March and November 2025 over a total of 9 working days. The production of communication material will be synchronized with the trainings to allow the service provider to take photos, record video and collect stories from training participants.

The anticipated activities and level of effort include:

  • Inception meeting with International Alert team to understand the project objectives and activities, and the visibility requirements (0.5 days)
  • Provide input to the project’s communication plan with key messages, communication channels, success metrics, and milestones. (0.5 days)
  • Produce social media content from at least three trainings, including 3 short videos (6 days)
  • Support Alert’s team in posting images and messages to publicize the trainings (2 days)

 

Support and resources to be provided by Alert

The Service Provider will work closely with Alert’s team to coordinate presence at trainings, photo and video recording and preparing materials for posting, while following all visibility guidelines. Alert staff will organize all logistics for the trainings and will coordinate with training participants to confirm their agreement to participate in videos and interviews.

 

Required qualifications

    • 5 years of experience in communication.
    • 5 years in web-based content management systems.
    • 3 years in dissemination of communication materials on social media channels.
    • 3 years in developing compelling content for online audiences.
    • Proven experience in managing complex sensitive projects.
    • Previous working experience with NGOs and humanitarian organisations.

Interested consultants and companies should submit the following documents to  lebanon@international-alert.org not later than 28 February 2025:

  • An expression of interest of maximum 5 pages highlighting the relevant experience and qualification, a description of the approach and plans to deliver the service, and notes on availability in the period of the assignment.
  • A CV of the Consultant. Companies should share the CV of at least one staff member who will lead on the assignment. The CVs should not exceed four pages each.
  • A financial proposal indicating the Service provider’s daily rate inclusive of taxes.
