About Rural Entrepreneurs:

Rural Entrepreneurs (RE) was founded in early 2015 with an aim to empower youth and enhance their access to opportunities, RE has become one of the most impactful and reliable youth NGOs in Lebanon. Officially registered in Beirut as a non-profit organization in the mid of 2017.

RE has established dynamic and long-term partnerships with esteemed entities such as UN agencies, international donors, major local organizations and stakeholders, and educational institutions. These collaborations have fueled rapid growth, allowing the organization to diversify its programs and services quickly, extend its reach to multiple rural areas, and establish sustainable innovation hubs and community centers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a communication strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and values.
  • Undertake on-site visits when necessary to capture and document the implementation of programs through photos, videos, audio, and other multimedia formats for communication materials.
  • Write and distribute press releases in both Arabic and English regarding project activities. Ensure dissemination of relevant stakeholders, including news agencies.
  • Manage and update websites and social media platforms. Respond to media inquiries and engage with the online community to maintain a strong digital presence.
  • Ensure the visibility of RE and its partners/donors through promotional material design, both on-site and online.
  • Support in the creation of various communication materials, including presentations, video editing, infographics, leaflets, newsletters, and press releases.
  • Assist youth-led initiatives to maximize their visibility during project implementation.
  • Provide guidance and support to the media team on producing high-quality photos and videos, in line with agreed guidelines and standards.
  • Properly archive communication materials for future use by the organization.
  • Seek opportunities to enhance the reputation of the organization by coordinating publicity events as needed.
  • Advise and support RE’s team on hardware and software updates and solutions. Assist in strengthening internal communications.
  • Provide support to RE eco-system and support initiatives.
  • Assist in organizing seminars, workshops, press conferences, and high-level meetings to ensure proper visibility and representation.
  • Assist in fund raising activities including crowd funding and others.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in all training sessions, including SEA-related training and awareness-raising efforts.
  • Uphold the organization's code of conduct, Child Protection Policy, and all RE policies.
  • Support the dissemination of PSEA materials and report potential SEA allegations through the Child Protection Focal Point.
  • Participate in investigations related to SEA allegations, when required.
  • Coordinate with other project staff to ensure the smooth flow of information.
  • Perform other tasks as directed by management.

Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • A Bachelor degree or equivalent years of experience in fields of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Radio/TV, and/or other relevant fields.
  • Excellent reporting, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to proactively negotiate and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Skilled at working with diverse communities, authorities, and local groups.
  • Outgoing and engaging personality, confident in interacting with individual and corporate donors.
  • Strong personal initiative with the ability to meet programmatic goals.
  • Flexible and creative, with the ability to infuse innovation and insight into program fulfillment.
  • Superior organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English.
  • Experience in managing social media platforms and creating engaging content.
  • Proficient in managing and executing social media advertising campaigns.
  • Skilled in creating written, visual, and video content for digital platforms.
  • Experience with editing photos and videos to enhance communication materials.
  • Familiarity with tools like Mailchimp for email marketing and newsletter distribution.
  • Ability to translate content (including videos and articles) between Arabic and English.

Others:

  • Willingness to work outside of regular office hours when necessary.
  • Residing in the relevant governorate (Mount Lebanon).
