Development of a WhatsApp Food Ordering Bot for the Food Heritage Foundation

Objectives

The objective of this project is to design and develop a WhatsApp chatbot that will:

· Enable users to browse traditional Lebanese products and food menus.

· Facilitate placing and tracking orders via WhatsApp.

· Provide automated order confirmations and updates.

· Integrate secure online payments.

· Allow the Food Heritage Foundation to update menus and prices easily.

· Support multi-language communication (Arabic & English)

Scope of Work

The selected contractor will be responsible for:

1. Technical Development

· Setting up WhatsApp Business API via Meta or Twilio.

· Developing a backend system to handle orders, payments, and notifications.

· Creating a database for menu storage and order tracking.

· Implementing a simple web-based admin panel for FHF staff to manage menus.

· Integrating online payment gateways (local solutions).

2. User & Vendor Experience

· Ensuring users can interact seamlessly via WhatsApp.

· Providing order tracking updates (e.g., "Order received", "Being prepared", "Out for delivery").

· Providing a user-friendly order management system.

3. Deployment & Training

· Deploying the bot on a secure cloud server (AWS, Firebase, or DigitalOcean).

· Training Food Heritage Foundation staff on bot management and menu updates.

· Offering 3-6 months of post-launch technical support.
